For those who are new to ABC, welcome! The Asia Business Conference at the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor is the longest running student-organized conference that creates a platform for leaders of the future to interact with those making an impact in Asia. Each year, the Asia Business Conference features over 25 prominent speakers making an impact in varied spheres of life, representing 4 different regions and function specific panels, attracting over 300 attendees- including students, faculty members and local businesses. Past regional panels included China, India, Japan, and ASEAN, and functional panels included- Finance, Consulting, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability. Some notable speakers from previously hosted conferences included C-level executives at Johnson & Johnson, General Motors, Shell, Nike, Morgan Stanley, The Dow Chemical Company, Google, BCG, and Nomura. Prominent past government officials include the ASEAN Secretary-General, the Singapore Ambassador to the United Nations, the Finance Minister of India, the Finance Minister of Thailand and the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Development. For the past 29 years, the Asia Business Conference has been driven with the mission to create long lasting impact by creating a better platform for leaders of today and tomorrow to engage in thought provoking ideas.
